de Boer and his wife Coos lived for many years in
East Elbow Park, Calgary. In order to
accommodate their interest in wine they built a good
cellar, both temperature and humidity controlled, in
the basement of their home. The wine on offer
at this auction has been stored in the cellar until
three weeks ago when it was carefully transported to
our sales room.
John
de Boer was a former President of the Commanderie de
Bordeaux and had extensive knowledge of wine, in
particular Bordeaux's, an area in which he travelled
extensively. Coos de Boer will be
fondly remembered by many Calgarians as the former
Sommelier at the Owls Nest for many years and the
Four Seasons hotel. |
