| Barbara Leighton , born in England, immigrated to
Canada and attended the Alberta College of Art, Calgary
where she met her husband, A.C. Leighton. She
chose to sign her works with the pseudonym 'Barleigh', a
contraction of her christian and married surnames.
Barleigh did etchings, woodblock prints and
woodcuts. She is particularily known for her
prints based on her husband's watercolours. |
