Jack Cowin's delicate hand-coloured etchings provide realistic studies of animals and objects associated with hunting and fishing. But it is the painstaking detail and precision of his work that appeal immediately to those who share his appreciation of the outdoors, whether it is embodied in the beauty of the perfect trout or the portrayal of a loyal hunting dog. Cowin has established an international reputation for his work among both art lovers, and lovers of nature.

Jack Cowin was born in Indianapolis, Indiana in 1947. He graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Printmaking from Indiana University in 1969 and a Masters degree from the University of Illinois in 1971. His work has been shown throughout Canada and the United States, as well as in Europe and Asia. It has been included in important print exhibitions, such as the New York International Print Forum, "Party Art" exhibitions in Switzerland and special shows at The Museum of Modern Art in New York.
