| David Pugh was born in
Saskatoon, Saskatchewan in 1946. He studied at the
University of Calgary but is mainly self-taught.
He was influenced greatly by Lawren Harris and J.E.H.
MacDonald.
Working in oil and acrylic, he
is best known for his mountain and glacier landscapes,
especially in the Bow Valley, Canmore and the Rocky
Mountains.
David's work is in the
collections of the Alberta Art Foundation, Confederation
Centre Art Gallery and Museum, Charlottetown & the
Glenbow Museum, Calgary.
