Description

Turley Estate Aida Vineyard Zinfandel 1997
Napa Valley, Zinfandel
750 ml / USA / 16.2% ABV

RP 93-95
"The 1997 Zinfandel Aida Vineyard (from 30-year old vines; 16.8% alcohol) is once again the Chateauneuf du Pape of northern California. This wine boasts an herbes de Provence, garrigue, peppery, black raspberry-scented, exotic nose that is eerily similar to a top-class Chateauneuf. The color is a saturated dark ruby/purple, and the wine unleashes its full power with layers of roasted meats, pepper, and jammy fruit flavors. This stunning Zinfandel will overload most tasters' olfactory sensors."

Turley Estate Moore 'Earthquake' Vineyard Zinfandel 1997
Napa Valley, Zinfandel
750 ml / USA / 16.8% ABV

RP 94-96 | ST 92-94
"The 1997 Zinfandel Moore (Earthquake) Vineyard (from 91-year old vines; 17.1% alcohol) is spectacular. From its saturated black purple color, to its knock-out aromatics of framboise, raspberries, kirsch (essentially the entire spectrum of red and black fruits seems to be present in this wine), this gorgeous, massively-endowed, jammy yet structured Zinfandel easily disguises its 17.1% alcohol under its remarkable concentration and intensity."

Turley Estate Hayne Vineyard Zinfandel 2007
Napa Valley, Zinfandel
750 ml / USA / 16.2% ABV

RP 90-93 | VN 92
"From Napa’s famed Hayne Vineyard, the 2007 Zinfandel Hayne Vineyard boasts a dark ruby/purple color as well as a sweet perfume of spring flowers, blackberries, and truffles. Deep, full-bodied, and rich, it is best consumed over the next 7-8 years. Interestingly, winemaker Ehren Jordan said that in 2007 the natural alcohol levels ranged from a low of 15% to the high sixteens, but the wines were easy to vinify, and the freshness, vibrancy, and excellent focus most possess are vintage characteristics."
