"One of the titans of the wine world and the undisputed Maestro of the Veneto, Giuseppe Quintarelli is responsible for crafting some of the greatest wines the world has known, period. While he is revered for his Amarones and his Alzero Cabernet Franc, he has also built a superlative reputation for his Valpolicellas. The Classico Superiore is a blend comprised mostly of Corvina, Corvinone, and Rondinella. Half of the fruit is pressed immediately and half is dried for 2 months. After maceration and primary fermentation, the juice is then racked onto the Amarone lees for a ripasso run. The wine then spends seven years in large Slavonian oak before release.
