'Tasted at the chateau, the 1990 has a more appealing nose than the 1989, perhaps more exotic in style with sloes, roasted herbs, shoe leather and a touch of sage with good lift in the glass. The palate is well balanced with a grainy entry, a citrus freshness that balances the ripe, meaty mid-palate. Firm and nicely structure with a saline touch towards the off-dry finish, this is a very fine 1990 that should age well over another decade. 91/100"
