Michael Nourot
Michael Nourot operated Nourot Glass Studio with his wife, Ann Corcoran, in Benicia, California, from 1974 to 2012. The original name of the studio was Micheal's Light Opera, with early works signed "LO" for Light Opera, instead of the "Nourot" signature seen on more recent pieces. Nourot attended the California College of Arts and Crafts as part of a scholarship program in which he helped establish the famed glass school at Pilchuk in Washington. After graduation, Nourot traveled to Murano where studied glassmaking from Italian masters at the Vininni factory.
