Stuart Abelman
Stuart Abelman has been crafting blown glass pieces for over 45 years, and founded Abelman Art Glass Studio in Southern California in 1976. He studied art through his early years, receiving a BFA from Carnegie Mellon University, and completing a Master of Fine Arts Glass program at U.C.L.A. Abelman uses his own formulas and the finest silica sand to ensure pure quality glass, often incorporating metallic designs using gold, silver, and other precious metals. He has completed extensive commission work for the movie, fashion, and entertainment industries, even playing a glassblower in multiple movies, and has pieces on display at the Smithsonian.
